Technical
equipment You can't do anything without the technology! Choosing the right venue for your conference is a key factor in making sure it's a success. To be certain everything will run smoothly, you'll need the appropriate technical equipment and competent sound engineers. Interpretation equipment The interpretation booths must comply with ISO standards. You'll need a sufficient number of booths for the interpreters plus enough microphones and receiver sets for all delegates. There are a number of competent equipment firms that you can contact. Multi-media If slides or other visual aids are to be shown, please check that the interpreters have an unimpeded view of these, as in order to provide good interpretation it is important to understand the presentation in its entirety and not just what is said. Particular arrangements must be made for interpretation of any type of film or video projection; the details must be clarified with the interpreters before the conference.
